It goes without saying that a goalie scoring a goal is a rare thing.

In the NHL, the first goaltender to ever score a goal was Ron Hextall of the Philadelphia Flyers. And he did it more than once.

Last night, the rare event happened again when goaltender Dylan Wells of the Ontario Hockey League's Peterborough Petes scored a goal against the Kingston Frontenacs.

The tally added insult to injury, as the Frontenacs were moments away from being swept 4 games to none in the series by the Petes.
