The Quad Cities River Bandits won their eighth straight game, 3-0, over the Bowling Green Hot Rods at Modern Woodmen Park Tuesday night.

River Bandits starter Justin Ferrell went 7 2/3 shutout innings, with five strikeouts, including his final one of Bowling Green's Thomas Milone in the eighth inning:

Quad Cities scored once in the third inning and twice in the seventh inning, capped by an RBI single from second baseman Luis Reynoso to chase Bowling Green starter Yonny Chirinos in the seventh inning:

Following Ferrell, right-hander Eric Peterson recorded the final four outs of the shutout, including striking out the side in the ninth inning:
