Ten football players from the Quad Cities have played in a Super Bowl.

The most famous has to be Roger Craig. The Davenport Central grad started as a running back for San Francisco in Super Bowls XIX, XXIII and XXIV. Scored a record three touchdowns in 1985. In three games combined, rushed for 198 yards and caught 20 passes for 212 yards.

The second most famous would be Augustana grad Ken Anderson who played quarterback for Cincinnati in Super Bowl XVI. Completed 25 of 34 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns.

Jamie Williams, Davenport (Central) Played tight end for San Francisco in Super Bowl XXIV. Caught one pass for seven yards.

Adam Lingner, Rock Island (Alleman) Long snapper for Buffalo in Super Bowls XV, XVI, XVII and XVIII.

Brad Hopkins, Moline Starting left tackle for Tennessee in Super Bowl XXXIV.

Ken Bowman, Rock Island Starting center for the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls I and II.

Wally Hilgenberg, Wilton Starting linebacker for Minnesota in Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX and XI.

Dennis Nelson, Kewanee Played tackle for Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V.

Karl Noonan, Davenport (Assumption) Played wide receiver for Miami in Super Bowl VI.

Jim Jensen, Davenport (Central) Played running back for Denver in Super Bowl XII. Rushed for 16 yards in one carry, caught one pass for five yards.
