The Quad Cities second annual Night to Shine prom for people with special needs is planned for Feb. 9 at two different locations. The events are for those with special needs 14 and over.

Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Davenport and Our Lady of the River Catholic Church in LeClaire are hosting the proms once again this year.

Our Lady of the River Catholic Church  Night To Shine Prom event will be held at the Rhythm City Casino Resort at 7077 Elmore Ave., Davenport.

Risen Christ Lutheran Church Night To Shine Prom will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church and School at 1122 W Central Park, Davenport.

The churches have been collecting prom dresses that will be given to each guest.

The dresses will be given away:
- January 6, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Risen Church. Located at 6021 Northwest Blvd.

- January 13, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Eastern Ave Library. Located 6000 Eastern Ave.

The organizations want to make sure everyone is treated as celebrities for the night. According to an OurQuadCities.com story, attendees have a red carpet they walk complete with paparazzi. Every participant will also be crowned king or queen.
