Every Friday on Don't Hassle Us We're Local we select 6 NFL games to look at the spread and find which games give you the best options to make you some money.  This Friday (9/14), Hassler Nick joined us in the Hassle Palace and gave us his insight to throw into the mix.  You can take this advice and make your own picks and win!  Just share our Facebook post and then in the comment section, post your picks and the TOTAL (for tie breaker) of the Seahawks at Bears Monday Night Football game and win a bowling package from our friends at Leisure Lanes.

CAROLINA PANTHERS AT ATLANTA FALCONS (-6)

"I'll take the points and Carolina," said Nick, "In a Week 2 divisional game, six points is a lot to give up."  Nick is right.  Maybe. There are sometimes special circumstances.  Carolina could be traveling early to Atlanta because of Hurricane Florence, thus robbing them of an extra night of sleep on their own beds.  Plus, the Falcons have 3 extra days of rest and preparation.  Jay likes the Falcons by 10+ points.  Troy thinks the Falcons barely cover the spread and likes the Falcons to win by a touchdown.  The real bet here is the under, which is 44.5.

HOUSTON TEXANS AT TENNESEE TITANS (+3)

Tennessee is banged up.  Delanie Walker is out for the year and Marcus Marriota has a banged up elbow that forced him out last week's game against Miami.  He is listed as probable to play on Sunday but the Titans are one JJ Watt sack away from Blaine Gabbert as the man under center.  TRoy likes the road favorites, "Last week the Titans played in a seven hour game.  I don't care if it was due to delays, etc.  NFL players are not built to play like that.  It will have an effect on them for a couple weeks.  Give up the points and take the Texans."  Jay has a crush on Deshaun Watson and DW beat the Titans 57-14 last year.  "Betting against a home team in the NFL in Week 1 or 2 is dangerous.  Look at the Bengals win over the Ravens on Thursday night, for example.  Take the home dog," added Nick.

OAKLAND RAIDERS AT DENVER BRONCOS (-6)

Everyone is in the consensus opinion that the Broncos are going to win and cover the spread.  We all are trying to figure out what Coach Gruden is doing in Oakland.  The Khalil Mack trade/debacle is now shadowed by Gruden throwing his QB Carr under the bus after there were zero targets to WR Cooper in Week 1.  Broncos defense is good.  A lot better than the Raiders offense.  The Raiders defense is not good.  The Broncos offense is slightly better than par. Although the Broncos had over 470 total yards last Sunday against the Seahawks , Case Keenum did throw 3 picks.  Any mistakes "Ace" may make won't be too much prevent covering the spread.

NEW YORK GIANTS AT DALLAS COWBOYS (-3)

A NFC East Division game on Sunday night is ratings darling.  Cowboys -3 is about as average of a line as can be.  And it should be -3.  Both teams are probably going to end up 8-8.  We all agreed that Dallas should win and cover spread in this game.  Mostly because, like Nick said, it's hard to bet against a home team at home in the NFL during Week 1 or 2.  Food for thought, Dallas is 14-30 against the spread as a home favorite under current head coach Jason Garrett.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT GREEN BAY PACKERS (-1)

This line has been off the board most of the week in anticipation of the news of Aaron Rogers knee and if he is going to play or not. The interesting thing is the Westgate Las Vegas Super Contest put this line at Packers +7 because they had to make a line on Wednesday night without any news of Aaron Rogers to play QB on Sunday.  What does Las Vegas know? We all agree to take the points given to the Vikings and run to the money.  Nick had some harsh words for the Packers and their running game, receivers, and defense.  Basically, every Packer who does not have the last name Rogers and number 12 on his jersey.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT CHICAGO BEARS (-3.5)

Seattle is 1-9-1 against the spread all time in road games in the first two weeks of the season under Pete Carroll.  Nick was very worried about the -.5 instead of the -3.  TRoy and Jay don't care.  The Bears front seven is better than the front seven of the Broncos who sacked Russell Wilson Phillips six times last week.  We expect Russell Wilson to play more like Carnie Wilson on Monday night.  Lay the points.
