River Drive is shut down between 23rd and 55th streets in Moline because of rising flood waters. Drivers can use the following alternate routes: 12th Avenue, Avenue of the Cities and 4th Avenue. Local business access is available at 23rd street, 34th street, 41st street and 55th street. This according to a report from the Quad City Times.

When it comes to driving through flooding or high water be careful. Remember to turn around don't drown. FEMA says flooding is the leading cause of severe weather-related deaths in the United States. Most of the deaths occur in vehicles people have tried to drive through flooded roadways.
