I love me some food trucks. It's a unique way to enjoy what usually turns out to be food full of character. Food trucks operators are often folks who have a true passion for food, but maybe a bit rebellious, non-conformist streak. And that often comes through in their food.

Davenport was the first of the Quad Cities to develop a food truck ordinance. Bettendorf is still considering their plan of attack. Last night, Moline solidified their approach to food trucks.

Our news partner OurQuadCities.com reports that Moline council hammered out details and regulations last night allowing food trucks to operate in the city.

Existing restaurants are protected by a prohibition of food trucks within a block of a restaurant during operating hours.

I think there is room for everybody. Welcome to the food truck family, Moline.
