The April 8th MLB game between the New York Mets and the Miami Marlins yesterday came to a controversial close.

It was the dream we all had as kids when we'd pretend to be "Big League" players: the bottom of the 9th, the score was tied 2-2, with the bases loaded and one out. You'd think this is when you'd see a Grand Slam, meaning a cool walk-off homerun, but it went a little bit differently.

Being the bases were loaded, the hit-by-pitch resulted in the game ending with a Mets win. Obviously, it's a little convenient he was hit, but being the ball was in the strike zone, it's up for debate.

Conforto later denied that he tried to get hit, and that he was hovering the plate because he was in "battle mode."

After the game, the umpire admitted that he made a mistake. He told the press, "The guy was hit by the pitch in the strike zone.  I should've called him out."
