Sorry June 21.  Memorial Day weekend is the start of summer.  Parks, BBQ's, parades...maybe pools.  While we are all hoping the weather warms up and the rain stops for awhile, here is a list of some events happening around the Quad Cities this weekend.  If you know of one that is missing from the list send me the details.  ryan.mccredden@townsquaremedia.com

  • Memorial Day Ceremony.  A Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at 10:45 a.m., Monday, May 27, at Rock Island National Cemetery. There will be no parking at the cemetery for this ceremony except for individuals who are wheelchair bound. Parking for all others will be behind Memorial Park in the large lot.
  • Hilltop’s Hidden Treasures Fest 2019.  There will be activities, food, and shopping specials throughout the Hilltop Campus Village!  Including Zeke’s Pirate Run, Quad City Cruisers Car Show, free outdoor music and a free outdoor showing of “Hook”.
  • Free Hatchet Throwing for Veterans.  Mon May 27 2019 at 12:00 pm  Live Action Games, 320 Kimberly road space 234, Davenport, Iowa 52806, Iowa, United States
  • Quad City River Bandits vs. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - after playing 3 of their first 43 games at home, the QC9 will be at Modern Woodmen park for a homestand that runs May 25-May 30!
  • The Terry Stephens Memorial Day Classic is once again back. This tournament year in and year out is the biggest JP Sports Tournament of the year. This event last year had over 150 teams and this year with the addition of the TBK Bank Sports Complex, this event is sure to be one of the biggest of the year.
  • 4th Annual Memorial Day Faith Walk to Reduce Violence.  Let's Hit The Streets to bring a positive message to reduce gun violence. We start at Beyond The Baseline at 1pm, walk to Hilltop on Harrison Street and back to Baseline.
  •  Quad City Amateur Championship.  Stroke play championship flighted into Championship, Men's Regular, Seniors.
  • The Kwik Star Criterium, contested each year on Memorial Day, provides a challenging and exciting course in the Village of East Davenport. This setting gives cyclists and fans alike a great day of racing and fun. This marks the 54th running of the Kwik Star Criterium.
  • Memorial Day Picnic.  Join us at 10:30am for our Annual TAS MEMORIAL DAY PICNIC Arrival: 10:30am 1st Game: 11am.  We would like to get 4 teams of men and women (coed) and play round robin tournament style. Bring your grill, and food to cook/eat. The concession stand will be selling drinks and snacks. Like always volleyball and horse shoes will be open for play as well. Bring the family and enjoy a time of fellowship!

  • 100 Days of Summer Kick-off Party.  Shoutout to our sister station B100 who is hosting a kickoff to summer Sunday Funday at Pints.  Music, drink specials and 100 prizes!  4-8pm.
  • Heritage Days.  The past comes to life with interpreters and actors to recreate pioneer life at the Walnut Grove Pioneer Village.
  • Races at the Fair.  Join us for our Weekly Races on the Davenport Speedway dirt track! Each week highlighting something new!
  • Quad Cities Brewery Tour.  You imbibe, we drive! Our brewery excursions take you to our favorite QC breweries to learn about the local beer scene and brewing process while enjoying great local beers.
  • Memorial Day Ceremony.  May 25th, 1029 at 10:30am at the Monument in Silvis.  All are Welcome!
