Another big game today for the Iowa Hawkeyes as they continue to march through March Madness and the 2021 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Today Iowa will square up against the Oregon Ducks from the PAC-12 Conference.  No other conference has had as much success this tournament than the PAC-12.  Teams are 8-0 so far in the tournament.

No. 2 seed Iowa (22-8) will face seventh-seeded Oregon (20-6) on Monday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the second round of the West Region of the NCAA Tournament in Indianapolis for a 11:10 a.m tip off.

Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures in an 86-74 Iowa defeated Grand Canyon on Saturday evening by a score of 86-74 in Indianapolis in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  The Iowa Hawkeyes failed to cover the 14 point spread. The TOTAL of 147 did go over, however. The 86 points scored by Iowa are the most for the Hawkeyes in an NCAA Tournament game since scoring 98 versus Texas in first round in 1992.

Oregon won an uncontested game against VCU due to positive COVID tests and COVID protocols.

On the season, Oregon has posted a 20-6 overall record, including a 14-4 mark in the Pac-12 Conference to earn the regular season conference title. Oregon defeated Arizona State in the first round of the Pac- 12 Tournament before falling to Oregon State, 75-64.

By the numbers-- Oregon averages just over 74 points per game, while allowing just over 67. Oregon outrebounds opponents by one rebound per game, and shoot 47.2 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from 3-point range and 70.4 percent from the foul line.

Names to know-- Eugene Omoruyi and Chris Duarte. a Jerry West Award finalist, each average 16.7 points per game to lead Oregon in scoring. Omoruyi previously played at Rutgers. Five Oregon players average more than 10 points per game.
