So thanks to the heroic effort of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Chicago baseball fans will be able to return to the ballparks this summer.

It will be a little different. There will be a LOT fewer fans. Starting capacity will be at 20% or about 8,000 fans for Wrigley and Guaranteed Rate each.

So the best way to get tickets is to either own or know someone that owns season tickets. They have the first crack at the 20% capacity.

But if you don't have season tickets, you're not out of luck yet. You're just going to need some luck to score some.

Here's how it breaks down for each team.

Cubs:

The Cubs will be setting aside a certain number of tickets (they haven't said how many) for non-season ticket holders.

They need to sign up for the Return To Wrigley Presale Access Program. There you just enter your email address and a few other pieces of information and you will be registered for the lottery. They will randomly draw entries on March 20th and contact the winners on how to purchase tickets. The deadline to enter the drawing is March 19th. Any unsold tickets after March 23rd will be made available to the general public.

The Cubs will be selling tickets in "pods" of 1 to 4 people. Everyone over the age of 2 will be required to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.

White Sox:

Non-season ticket-holding White Sox fans will have to wait a little longer. The White Sox are not reserving a portion of the tickets. Season ticket holders will have first dibs on all tickets. After they have been allowed to purchase tickets the White Sox will see how many tickets they have left and make an announcement then.
