Finally!  Week 1 of the NFL Season is here.  We have been reluctantly optimistic about having a season but it looks like a go.

On the air on "Don't Hassle Us We're Local", I gave you my EXTREME and BOLD NFL predictions.  Here they are in writing...

THE JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS WILL NOT WIN A SINGLE GAME AT HOME THIS YEAR...

That's right.  The Jags will go winless at home.  OHHHHHH AND EIGHT.  Jacksonville looks like a team that is very clueless as to what direction they are headed.  My prediction is that the coaching staff and front office is so inept that they forget that they will not play 4 games in London this year.  Basically, after every home loss, the rallying cry from the coaches will be "We'll get them in London next week."  News flash-- there will not be a game in London this year.  We are in a global pandemic.

THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS WILL NOT WIN THE NFC WEST

Super Bowl hangovers are a real thing.  I have them at 9-7 on the year and the #5 seed in the playoffs.  They Los Angeles Rams will win the NFC West at 10-6 and the #4 seed in the playoffs.  I do, however, have the 49ers winning in the first round on the road against the Rams.

JOE BURROW WILL BREAK THE SINGLE GAME PASSING RECORD FOR A ROOKIE NFL QUARTERBACK IN A WEEK 3 SHOOTOUT LOSS AT PHILADELPHIA

According to ProFootballHOF.com, Andrew Luck set the single-game rookie record with 433 yards passing against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.  I am very big on Joe Burrow and this match up looks like the exact coming out party that Joe Cool needs.

THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS WILL WIN THE NFC SOUTH AND THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS WILL WIN THE AFC EAST

There is an old saying, "Man plans and God laughs."  That is exactly what we are in for this season, "The NFL plans and Brady and Belichick laugh."

For the first time since 1999, Tom Brady will not be on the New England Patriots roster.  Instead of "how will Tom Brady do without Coach Belichick?" or how will "New England do without Tom Terrific?", how about they are both tremendous competitors who are motivated by success.

I'm doubling down that Brady and Tampa will win on the road Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints.

THE DALLAS COWBOYS WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL THIS SEASON

It's time.  I am a fan of athletes who have to prove something.  I think Dak Prescott needs to win this year to justify a large contract that he will ask for.  Dallas has a very good offense and it just seems like the right time for them. I have the Cowboys at 11-5 during the season and the #1 seed in the NFC.

THE CHICAGO BEARS WILL WIN THE NFC NORTH

If I have learned ANYTHING in 2020, it is that you should expect the unexpected.  The COVID-19 year has proven that what is up is down, what is East is West, and you can't predict what crazy thing will happen each month.

That's right.  I said it-- Bears will win the NFC North.

I've got the Bears going 10-6 on the year and then losing to the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the playoffs.  I know it is crazy but I feel good about this prediction.
