Experts Think Steak ‘n Shake Might Be Closing Entirely

It's always sad to see a business hurting, particularly if it's a local business. When you see a massive chain hurting, it's even more surprising. So if you're a fan of Steak 'n Shake, you might want to keep a close eye on them over the next few months.

This year alone – which we aren't even halfway through – they have closed 60 restaurants nationwide. Most of those closures happened in March; there were 44 in total that month. The chain has been battling lawsuits, declining profits, and even health code violations, according to experts.

All of this comes AFTER S&P Global Markets named Steak 'n Shake one of 19 companies most likely to go into bankruptcy. As of right now, it's all just rumors, but continued decline in profits and increase in closures isn't exactly promising.
