On Saturday, the B1G Conference announced the football schedule for the 2020 football season.  Last week, the conference retracted it's hard stance on the indefinite postponement of the season due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The B1G Presidents and Chancellors voted to resume play on October 24 and create a B1G Champions week- details to be announced a later date.

Although there will be no fans allowed to attend the games this year, that does not mean that the excitement is not at a low for Iowa fans.

Here is the Iowa Hawkeyes football schedule for 2020:

  • 10/24 WEEK 1 @ Purdue Boilermakers
  • 10/31 WEEK 2 NORTHWESTERN
  • 11/7   WEEK 3 MICHIGAN STATE
  • 11/14 WEEK 4 @ Minnesota
  • 11/21 WEEK 5 @ Penn State
  • 11/28 WEEK 6 NEBRASKA
  • 12/5   WEEK 7 @ Illinois
  • 12/12 WEEK 8 WISCONSIN

I think it is safe to say that ALL Hawkeye fans are excited...

And we are thinking this...

The time of the games have yet to be determined and the possibility of Iowa hosting Nebraska on Black Friday again is not out of the ruling either.

Interesting tweet by Scott Dochterman of The Athletic means the 2021 season will look completely different than previously speculated.
