Las Vegas will be hosting the 2020 NFL draft, set for April 23-25, for the first time in the city's history and they plan to put on quite a show.  Including a boat show- sort of.

The city proposed that the main stage for the event would be located next to Caesars Forum and Link High Roller and the red carpet stage will be on the water in front of the Bellagio fountains.

The future NFL players drafted would be transported to the red carpet stage by boat. Locating the draft’s stage at the Bellagio was the “dream scenario” proposed by draft organizers, according to the article written by Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Clark County Commission unanimously accepted the plans on Tuesday.

The traffic restrictions would shut down traffic on the Las Vegas Strip for the entire 3 days of the event.

Las Vegas is expecting over 400,000 visitors for the 2020 NFL Draft.

The NFL is really putting together quite an event for a city that will see it's first NFL franchise take a snap in 2020-- the Las Vegas Raiders.

I just got used to saying Los Angeles Chargers instead of San Diego Chargers.  Probably won't be until 2022 that I get the city and name right when referring to the AFC West team.
